Create an Annotated Bibliography Using Refworks and Word
- Create a bibliography in RefWorks using the ACS - American Chemical Society (Numeric Superscript) style.

- Click the "copy to clipboard" button.

- Open a Word document. The instructions below are based on the online version of Word, not the desktop application.
- Paste the bibliography into the document, keeping the source formatting.
- Use the Citing Sources Guide to fix any errors in the citations.

- Click to move your cursor to the end of your first citation (after the final period).
- Click on the three dots on the far right of the menu bar to access the paragraph settings.
- Hover over the "line spacing" option from the drop down menu. Click on "Remove space after paragraph."

- Press the enter key.
- Again, click on the three dots on the far right of the menu bar.
- Hover over the "special indent" option from the drop down menu. Make sure the "None" option is selected.

- Write your annotation.
- There are numerous options for annotation indentation. Ask your professor how they would like the annotations to be indented and follow those steps accordingly.
- Repeat steps 7-14 for each citation.
