DRA: Developmental Reading Assessment (CC 372.4 B 386)
Gives teachers a range of tools to help monitor literacy behavior continuously as they teach, as well as conduct periodic assessments for accountability. Intended to guide teachers’ ongoing observations of student’s progress within a literature-based reading program:
- Grades K-3: Kit consists of 21 hanging pocket folders, 1 DRA continuum folder, 20 story books, 60 blackline masters, 1 teacher resource guide in storage box.
- Grades 4-8: Kit consists of 10 hanging pocket folders, 1 student assessment folder, 2 benchmark book packages of 20 story books each, 1 blackline masters, 1 teacher guide in box
IRA Literacy Study Groups Vocabulary (CC 372.4 I 651)
Teaching vocabulary to improve reading comprehension (word recognition, spelling, and vocabulary). Contains vocabulary discussion guide and related journal articles, facilitator’s guide (Reading Reflections: A Journal for Teachers).
The Literacy Bridge (CC 372.4 L 776b)
A selection of children’s books and supporting curriculum materials to be used in teaching reading and other language arts skills to children just beginning to read.
